Short-Term and Long Term Goals, Pt. 2
~Lawrence J. PeterIt’s time for some goal-setting! As I mentioned in my previous post, I want to set some SMART goals for the next five years. I’ll reap some huge rewards in creating them:
- I have something to work for
- I will be more organized and motivated in achieving success
- My life will be more defined and my choices will be more clear
- We can all see how well I do in achieving them and learn from my mistakes and successes
Some goals are ambitious whereas others are realistic and definitely doable. However, it is all up to me as to whether I meet them or not.
I have also put up a Goals page so you can follow along with the goals I have created for myself and will update them accordingly.
Today’s goal: Paying off my car in full
Description: I have a car I owe over $10k on, and I could pay this off as late as 2014. However, I want to live life without a car payment as soon as possible, so with the extra income coming in from my promotion, I want to knock this thing out in a year.
Due Date: June 30, 2012
If you would like to join me in Goal-Setting this summer, post a comment below on what that goal is. No matter how big or small, goals are just stepping stones to your success.
Hey A-Mac, just stopping by to see how you're going! Great goal to set – and perfect to set an achieveable date on it too! Good luck!
A book I really enjoyed and found inspiring is "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George S. Clason – if you're looking for something after those ones you mentioned in your last post!
Keep up the fantastic work!

@Jill–Thanks for your response. I appreciate your comments and your suggestion. I'll have to read/review that book when I get a chance.
I may even create a Books or Recommendations page when I have a few more reviews done.
