About Me
One thing that defines me is that I like to listen to others, especially older, more experienced people. I see that many others don’t have this quality and I believe it separates me from the crowd. I firmly believe I must learn from others’ mistakes in order to avoid making my own. Why repeat history, you know? I’m looking to make as few mistakes as possible in the life God has given me. Although some mistakes are impossible to avoid, and some mistakes I believe are even good for you, people make so many mistakes that are just… unnecessary.
I also like to keep a positive, optimistic attitude. Keeping this type of attitude even when things go wrong help me endure and keep me on track. As many people know, it isn’t easy. Life is full of frustration and disappointment. There are trials that you may bring on yourself and there are things that happen out of your control. While I am not perfect at this (not by a long shot!) I do my best to shrug off the things I can’t control and focus on the things I can. It may not fix the situation I’m in, but at least I feel better.
There are many things that continue to fuel my desire to achieve success. My mom and dad always pushed me to work to my full potential. In fact, I can still recall my mom placing me in front of a mirror, commanding me to tell myself, “I am Somebody.” I guess it stuck, because I have a motivation in me like none other. It’s like a fire in the pit of my stomach I can’t seem to get rid of. Every day I wake up thinking about how I can continue to achieve success. I also want to prove to others that you don’t have to be a superstar athlete or entertainer to consider yourself successful. You don’t have to live the lifestyles of the rich and famous. In fact I think most people are destroyed financially, emotionally, mentally, and even physically by this celebrity lifestyle. I want people to know that if you do the right things and just exercise a bit of discipline, you can enjoy success now and later on in life.
